What is included in a boiler service?

Each manufacturer sets out their procedure for their boiler, which our engineer will adhere to. During a boiler service our engineer will visually inspect the boiler, flue and oil supply, they will always replace the nozzle . They will analyse the flue gases using a flue gas analyser and check the boiler is burning correctly. They will check that the boiler is operating correctly and safely and issue a certificate. Oil boilers have several parts that need to be replaced on on a regular basis including hoses, filters and seals. These will be charged according to the parts installed in your boiler.

Do you service combi boilers?

Yes, we service all makes and model of oil combi boiler.

Do you service boilers with hot water cylinders?

Yes, if you have an unvented hot water cylinder (usually a large white cylinder in a cupboard) this should also be serviced annually to maintain the manufacturers warranty and ensure the safety devices are operating correctly. For a small supplement we can also service the hot water cylinder when we come to service your boiler – just let us know when you make your booking.

My boiler isn’t working, do I need a boiler service?

If the boiler isn’t working we cannot service it, but we are more than happy to inspect the boiler to diagnose the fault and carry out a boiler repair. Just let us know you have a problem with the boiler and we will book you in for a fault diagnosis visit from one of our engineers. Our engineer will then advise you on the best option for a repair.

I have a magnetic system filter, will this be cleaned out as part of the boiler service?

Yes, if it is accessible. Please ensure that you leave the system filter tool close to the filter so that we can clean the filter.

What do I need to do to prepare for a boiler service?

Make sure we can access the boiler by removing any personal items that might be in the way. If your boiler is installed inside a cupboard, please make sure that this does not stop the boiler casing from being removed. If you have the boiler manual please leave it out for our engineer to complete the service section.
